Very nice, tell us more.

Good news Moose, great to see you getting all hard core and everything. :)

The Moose strikes blood last night. I sense the techinians busy at work, countdown clock in the background as final testing on the can't touch this plutonium rocket runs thru final dianogistic testing. Sense of ground shaking. LMAO. Moose, you're getting ready to fly brother and its gonna be a kickass good time watching you climb that leaderboard! :w00t:

:)

Total system specs I'll have running -- ranked in order with specs that affect performance
AMD 64 3500+ 1 ghz FSB, 2 gig RAM, SATAII striped drives
AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 1 gig RAM
Dell Inspiron 8600, 1.7ghz Pentium Mobile, 1 gig RAM
Dell Inspiron 9000 series, 1.6 ghz Pentium Mobile, 1 gig RAM
AMD Tbird 1.4 ghz, 768 megs RAM

Like I said, I still have to set up the home network and get the broadband otherwise theres no internet connection sharing in this house which would make running all the clients at the same time a real hassle.

There are third part utilities for that kind of problem if it comes to that, but better and easier to go broadband.

Nice systems btw.

Moose,
Are you planning to OC that computer? I'd be really interested to know how well they are clocking with the Venice. So far, people have been raving about it, and I'm about to switch my Newcastle to the Venice.

I had Gentoo loaded on one of my systems. Then I had Slack, then Debian. Gentoo was cool, but it did take a while to set up. I like trying out different distros. I am going to download one called Vector Linux sometime soon. It is based off slack if I remember correctly.

I am also going to try one of the BSD's soon in the same light. Just want to see how it runs and so forth. :)

i've tried various distros as well...never could get gentoo to the end of installation, so i figured while i have the time to play with things, may as well give it a shot. :) sixish hours of downloading/compiling/installing of kde finally done and over with... :P
