BTW, Zetro, the stats are almost complete. Since the Grid has been completing several udpates per day, this should all be current in about 4 days.
Everyone's stats are now showing up, including the newest Team Mates.
I just wanted to add that you do know how to "introduce" yourself:

Zetro, you may want to wait a day or so before switching to the Cancer work units.
Robby Brewer, a UD Employee, is going to monitor these new work units. Already, one problem has been posted in the Member-To-Member Support forum at UD. Something about "looping back".
Should not take long to see if UD has gotten this straight. Still, with the current refreshes being very active, I see a lot of positive things going on.

What is Distributive Computing? What does it mean to us?
The Cancer Project
The Human Proteome Project
'tis like the quest for the Holy Grail. Just look around. Your Family Members, Friends and every other Citizen on this planet.

Why we crunch in rather simplistic scientific terms ....
Many, if not most diseases, is due to proteins not folding correctly. The Institute of Systems Biology can explain it much much better than I can.
Yes, proteins *not* folding properly. Diabetes, Cancer, etc.
Distributive Computing (what you are taking part of) explores this "protein folding" to a new level, powered by the "PC power" that you can provide.
Protein #52 (or is it Protein #53?) has shown the logic behind this. 'tis strange. Proteins in *your* body folding in the *wrong* manner.
This subject has many Medical R&D institutions in many countries dealing with this major subject currently (the last 3 or 4 years). This looks like a major breakthrough. The answers could be most compelling.
Those graphics that you see when running the DC app, are proteins folding ....
As "Crunchers", we are indeed helping them in this endeavor. The search for the "Rosetta Stone" may be well within our reach. 'tis like seeking the "Holy Grail".
May we help in finding these answers together.
