Well, after three years, it still works great. All I want to do (I will be eventually getting a new crunching rig with a great GPC card(s).

First, something to do some GPU work units at the WCG.

Second, I think i need to add 12 more gigs of the same memory listed below. I think the 650 eatt Corsair Powersuppy will be ok as it is?

Now then, which GPU card. So many choices like:

AMD Radeon HD 7700 series (Cape Verde)

AMD Radeon HD 6900 series (Cayman)

etc etc. Posted Image I'd like to keep the gpu under $300. Kinda. Posted Image

What graphics cards are not able to participate in the Help Conquer Cancer research project?
Certain graphics cards do not have the hardware instructions or are too slow to run this project effectively. As a result , some cards will be excluded from participation.

The cards that will be excluded listed below. We will periodically review the system for additional cards that should be added to this list.

Well if it's for GPU work units I'd suggest a dual GPU model even if it's slightly slower since between the two it will pump out more units.

As I said mine will finish two units, one on each gpu, in 5-8 minutes.

DarkStar, I/m not sure my pocketbook or power supply could handle that. Wow! I need IT job orders (it's been too long for IT Recruiters working in the Large Enterprise. I think that we are the forgotten ones ... Posted Image

Anyway, thanks for replying. Sincew I hope to get a new rig soon (I hope), Ill just wait. Until then, I still may get an inexpensive gpu for crunching on this rig. Gotta stop you from passing me ... Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image
